The UMB/COTE SCOE is an aerospace test system consists in all the electrical support, test and verification equipment and tools needed on ground for integration and qualification phases at subsystem and spacecraft level, it also provides the capabilities (hardware and software) for testing and monitoring the performance of COSMO 2nd Generation Platform and for support launch site activities.
It is assembled in a standard 19″ rack unit to contain:
- power supplies
- power distribution unit
- telemetry control
- monitoring systems
- protection systems
to ensure the safety of the spacecraft in case of failure.
Proser designed the Second Level Protection Unit, the TM/TC Router Unit, the Umbilical Interface Unit and the system mechanical and thermal layout as well as the whole manufacturing and the assembly.
The UCST is a good example of the services that Proser can absorb on behalf of third parties.
