The HUD101 Test Station is a laboratory test system for Head Up Display-101 an electro-optical device that projects attack, navigation and landing information through dedicated symbology, into the pilot’s forward field of view.
Equipped by an arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) for the generation of stimuli, it is able to automatically test two HUD101 devices at a time, verifying their functionality and displaying the status of the signals during the test.
The software interface is structured in three sections: Self-Test, to verify the Test Station before testing the apparatus; Laboratory Acceptance Test and Environment Stress Screening Test (Thermal and Vibration); database of reports allows the management of the activity history for each test executed.
As the ESS Test can take a long time, it may take a few days, the test station is equipped with a UPS to compensate for any power interruption.
The test station is mounted in a standard 19″ rack equipped with wheels and a special drawer for storage the cables used for connection during several type of tests and is certified with CE marking.
