The Safety Switch Box (SSB) is a rugged military grade equipment dedicated to managing Safety Signal used to enable or disable Munition Interface on Launch System.
It is provided with:
- Input and output D38999 circular connectors on top side.
- Front switches (Safety Switch protected with a plastic cover to avoid unintentional switch flipping.
- SAFE and PERMIT led lamp indicators.
- Metallic cover (not shown in figure) to protect switches and indicators when not in use.
The structure is made of aluminum alloy of the 5000 and 6000 series equipped with conductive anticorrosion treatment Surtec 650, in accordance with MIL DTL 5541F Class III.
External surfaces are painted with water coating dispersible aliphatic polyurethane, chemical agent resistant compliant to STANAG 4360 Ed. 3 – AEP-64
Safety Switch Box is powered by +28VDC voltage.
Fully qualified MIL-STD-810F, Safey Switch Box is suitable for applications that require a sure and reliable Safety Signal in military environment.
