The system consists of 64 RF lines, each consisting of a 6-bit attenuator from 0 to -31.5 dB of attenuation with 0.5 dB step and a 6-bit phase shifter from 0 to 360 degrees with 5.625 degrees step. The EGSE is managed through a dedicated program supplied and installed on a PC, with which it is possible to set and store the desired phase and attenuation values. The PC is connected to the EGSE through the RS485 serial line, or via USB, it is also possible to store 64 different configurations that can be recalled both from the serial port (RS485) and from the parallel port (RS422).
