The Voice Management Unit (VMU) is a rugged military equipment dedicated to managing audio communications between local and remote operators in terrestrial defense systems.
It is provided with:
- Input and output D38999 circular connectors on rear side.
- Local operator headphone and microphone connector.
- Buzzer for alerting operator on incoming audio call.
- Led lamp indicator showing VMU operating condition and incoming call.
- MUTE / TALK switch for muting local operator microphone.
VMU is housed in a fully sealed box made of aluminum alloy of the 6000 series protected with conductive anticorrosion treatment Surtec 650, in accordance with MIL DTL 5541F Class III.
External surfaces are painted with waterborne polyurethane two-components coating and Infrared Reflective (IRR) NATO green colour in accordance with STANAG 2338 Ed. 1
Internal electronic cards protected with conformal coating.
Fully qualified MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD461G, Safey Switch Box is suitable for applications that require sure and reliable voice audio communication in military environment.
