PSU – Power Supply Unit

The PSU power supply unit is a rugged system designed to provide a supply voltage of 360V/35A.

Equipped with a 12.5kVA converter, it offers a programmable continuous power supply from 360V to 400V stable and decoupled starting from an input voltage of 3ph 440Vac 50 / 60Hz in compliance with STANAG 1008 Ed.9

The unit is equipped with a control board that monitors each operating parameter of the power supply. The supply voltage, the output voltage as well as the temperatures of the internal cards and the converter are monitored and managed via the relevant alarms.

Communication with the upper unit takes place via LAN with SNMP protocol to which the status of the system and its operating parameters is communicated instant by instant.

All interface connectors are military standard (D38999) located on the top side along with a panel of indicator lights for local status reporting.

The PSU unit is cooled by a forced air flow capable of ensuring full power functionality in the external temperature range [-5 ÷ +55]°C, the flow cools the heatsink but does not reach the internal hardware which is installed in a completely hermetic compartment so as to ensure protection from environmental agents (sand, dust, salt fog and flooding).

The mechanical structure is made of aluminum alloy with anti-corrosion conductive treatment Surtec 650, according to MIL DTL 5541F Class III (painting on request) and is equipped with a mechanical stress isolation system (ship motions, vibrations, shocks and accelerations from air transport) made with helical metal cable shock absorbers positioned at the base.

Qualified MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F the PSU is suitable for those applications that require reliable power supplies in military environments (Naval Sheltered).
